Enlace is an American Christian-based broadcast television network. Enlace provides Inspirational Christian programming to the Hispanic community. The network features culturally relevant, faith-based programming to Hispanics of all age groups.[1] Enlace's primary headquarters are in San José, Costa Rica. In addition, Enlace owns and operates studios, offices, and call centers in most Latin American countries. In the U.S., Enlace's broadcast facilities are located in Irving, Texas.[2]

Background

The network's lineup consists of various inspirational and faith programs including church services, music videos, concerts, talk shows, children’s programs, and movies. Over 80% of its programs are produced in Latin America by ministries such as Claudio Freidzon of Argentina, Cash Luna of Casa De Dios in Guatemala, and U.S. Hispanic organizations such as Guillermo Maldonado of Miami, Florida, and Danilo Montero of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

Concerts and music videos are key components of the network's program lineup featuring singers such as Jesus Adrian Romero, Marco Barrientos, Marcos Witt, Funky, Julisa, and Daniel Calveti. Programs are produced in several countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia and in several U.S. cities. The network also features Spanish-language dubs of televangelist programs, such as Michael Rood and John Hagee.[3]

Technical Information

Having been launched in the U.S. on May 1, 2002, Enlace is currently available through various cable providers nationwide, and is carried over-the-air on digital subchannels of TBN owned-and-operated and affiliated stations, usually on the fourth subchannel; it is also available across North America, including Mexico on Glorystar Christian Satellite. The network is also streamed on Enlace and TBN's official web site for use externally in browsers and media players, available at different speeds for dial-up and broadband connections. As of April 2011, Enlace is one of nine channels that are featured with live real-time webcasts on the TBN Mobile App, developed by Trinet Internet Solutions, Inc., and available for free on iTunes for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.[4] An EDGE, 3G, 4G or WiFi connection is required for the live broadcasts.[5]

On December 16, 2009, DirecTV in the United States began carrying Enlace on channel 448, making it available as part of its various English, Spanish and international packages.[6] On February 2011, Dish Network began carrying Enlace on channel 9411.
