TAT-7
TAT-7 was AT&T Corporation's 7th transatlantic telephone cable, in operation from 1978 to 1994, initially carrying 4,000 telephone circuits (simultaneous calls) between New Jersey and Porthcurno in south west England.
Despite the fact that optical fiber had been invented in 1970, this cable was still using coaxial cable technology.
