T.A.O is the first EP of the Chinese singer Z.Tao, released on July 23, 2015 by Huang Z.TAO Studio.[1]
Background and release
In June 2015, it was reported that Tao had set up his own personal management agency in China to manage his solo activities, entitled Huang Z.TAO Studio.[2] Tao revealed a mysterious teaser image through its official account on Weibo on July 9.[3][4] It was revealed on July 13 that Tao officially launch their first mini-album.[5][6] On July 20, Tao released a teaser video for his solo album release. The teaser shows the singer falling into the sea but finds his way back to earth. There are also flashes that shows an intimate scene between Tao and a woman, the singer screaming with rage.[7]
The mini-album was released in China on July 23, 2015[8] where it broke an unprecedented number of digital sales records by selling over 670 000 within its first week.
