Szydłowiec Śląski [ʂɨˈdwɔvjɛt͡s ˈɕlɔ̃ski] (German Schedlau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Niemodlin, within Opole County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Niemodlin and 24 km (15 mi) west of the regional capital Opole.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
The village has a population of 121.
