The Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Ujjain is a Syro-Malabar eparchy in India, under the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. It was created as Apostolic Exarchiate on 29 July 1968 and John Perumattam was named its first Exarch. On 26 February 1977 the Apostolic Exarchiate was elevated to diocese and Mar Mar John Perumattam was named first bishop of the diocese.He retired on 4 April 1998 and on the same date Sebastian Vadakel was appointed second bishop of the diocese.
