Syrian Catholic Archeparchy of Mosul

The Syrian Catholic Archeparchy of Mosul (or informally Mossul of the Syrians) is Syrian Catholic (alias Syriac Catholic; Antiochian Rite, Syriac language) non-metropolitan Archeparchy (Eastern Catholic Archdiocese) in northern Iraq.

It is immediately subject to the Syrian Catholic Patriarch of Antioch.

It has its cathedral episcopal see Syriac Cathedral, in Al-Mosul.

History

It was established in 1790.
