Syracuse Jazz Festival

The Syracuse Jazz Festival is an annual music festival in Syracuse, New York. It has been praised by the International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE), and has been referred to as "one of the top five free jazz festivals in America".[1] It was established by Frank Malfitano and has been running since 1982.[2]

Aretha Franklin is scheduled to headline the 2015 festival,[3] which is also planned to feature Wynton Marsalis and Buckwheat Zydeco.[4] Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett have been scheduled to perform as a duo.[5] Other acts that have performed in the past include The Doobie Brothers, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Kat Wright and the Indomitable Soul Band.[6]
