Synthesis of the Doctrine of Race

Synthesis of the Doctrine of Race (Italian: Sintesi di Dottrina della Razza) is a work by Italian esoteric writer Julius Evola, published in 1941 by Hoepli. It provides an overview of Evola's ideas concerning race and eugenics, introducing the concept of spiritual racism.[1] According to scholar Francesco Cassata, Evola is the best known advocate for what he calls "esoteric-traditionalist racism".[2] Benito Mussolini read the book in August 1941 and invited Evola to a meeting in order to talk about it. Evola later recounted that Mussolini had found in his work a uniquely Roman form of fascist racism distinct from that found in Nazi Germany. Mussolini would later help Evola to publish a journal, Sangue e Spirito (Blood and Spirit).[3]
