Synodontis nigromaculatus, the blackspotted squeaker, is a species of upside-down catfish found widely in southern Africa. This species grows to a length of 38.5 centimetres (15.2 in) TL. This species is important in local fisheries as a source of human food as well as being a gamefish and is found in the aquarium trade.
