Sylvester and Tweety in Cagey Capers (known in most Europe countries as Sylvester & Tweety in Cagey Capers, in France as Titi & Grosminet dans une Aventure Infernale, and in Spain as Silvestre y Piolin y sus Sigilosas Travesuras) is a 2D platform video game featuring the Looney Tunes characters Sylvester and Tweety. It was released for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive console in 1994 and was the first video game to star Sylvester and Tweety.

Gameplay

Sylvester has finally caught Tweety; thus ending the first level.

Players play as Sylvester the cat and must try and catch Tweety in each of the levels. Characters such as Granny, Hippety Hopper and Hyde Tweety try to stop the player. Sylvester can pick up things such as boxing gloves and bones to fight these enemies. He can also use things such as umbrellas and boxes to try and reach Tweety. He also has "Tweety scope" which locates where Tweety is.

Sylvester can also hide from his enemies behind lamps or in barrels. How far the player can get in the game depends on the difficulty setting. If the player only puts the difficulty at 0% he can only do one level. The game needs to be set at 80% difficulty or higher to play all the levels. The player can also gain points by knocking things off the shelves or from bags of catnip. Sylvester can gain a life for 100,000 points. If Sylvester lose his last life, he has two continues to resume the game.

Development

Producer TecMagik was originally going to publish the game themselves, but just before its announced release date of June 1994, they sold the game to Time Warner Interactive.[2] Time Warner then made several adjustments to the game, chiefly to make it easier, and released it in August.[2]
