Sviny is a village and municipality (obec) in Žďár nad Sázavou District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 3.71 square kilometres (1.43 sq mi), and has a population of 100 (as at 3 July 2006).
Sviny lies approximately 26 kilometres (16 mi) south-east of Žďár nad Sázavou, 37 km (23 mi) east of Jihlava, and 146 km (91 mi) south-east of Prague.
