Sustainability Management School (SUMAS) is a business school focused totally on sustainability and a responsible management education (UN Sustainable Development Knowledge Program, Voluntary Initiative).[2]


SUMAS is based in the headquarters of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Gland, a small town by Lac Leman, one of the largest inland lakes in Europe, in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. It is half way between Geneva and Lausanne.

Academic programs

Sustainability Management School offers:

The aim of the three-year BBA program is to offer a theoretical and practical degree that addresses challenges in sustainability facing leaderships in today’s global environments.[3]

Designed for all professionals in corporations, nonprofits and governmental agencies demanding sustainability knowledge and practice. The aim of the full-time (one year) or part-time (two years) Master of Business Administration in Sustainability Management is to offer a predominantly professionally oriented education that addresses sustainability challenges facing leaders in today’s complex work patterns. Online MBA course is delivered through the SUMAS's virtual learning environment, where student can access to teaching material and communicate with faculty and other students.[5]
