Surian (Persian: سوریان, also Romanized as Suriān; formerly, Bavanat (Persian: بوانات, also Romanized as Bavānāt and Bawānāt)[1] is a city in and the capital of Bavanat County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,645, in 2,638 families.[2] It has an altitude of 2,857 metres (9,373 ft).[3]
