Summit Township is one of fifteen townships in Effingham County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 3,584 and it contained 1,654 housing units.[1]
Geography
According to the 2010 census, the township (T8N R5E) has a total area of 34.54 square miles (89.5 km2), of which 33.64 square miles (87.1 km2) (or 97.39%) is land and 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2) (or 2.61%) is water.[1]
