8199400 Canada Inc. operating as Summit Air[2] is an airline that provides executive and general passenger and cargo air charter throughout the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon from its base at Yellowknife.
History
Summit Air started in Atlin, British Columbia in 1987. In January 2001, the base of operations was moved to Yellowknife. The Ledcor Group of Companies became a partner on June 1, 2009. In August 2012 Summit acquired Artic Sunwest Charters and all aircraft operated by Arctic Sunwest Charters were re-branded as Summit.
In January 2015 the airline acquired an Avro RJ85 aircraft which is being operated by Summit for First Air for use on services from Yellowknife and Edmonton. A second Avro RJ85 has since been ordered.[3]

In addition Transport Canada lists two de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver (DHC-2 MK. III) registered to 8199400 Canada Inc, both with certificates cancelled. In addition Transport Canada lists a Cessna 207 (T207A Turbo Skywagon/Turbo Stationair 8) registered to Summit Air with a cancelled certificate.[1]
