Strasbourg Eurométropole or Eurométropole de Strasbourg (formerly the Urban Community of Strasbourg) is the intercommunal structure gathering the city of Strasbourg (France) and its suburbs.

Another part of the metropolitan area is on German territory (Kehl) and is thus outside of the scope of French intercommunality. The Strasbourg-Ortenau eurodistrict provides some cooperation between the French and German local governments.

History

The Urban Community of Strasbourg (French: Communauté urbaine de Strasbourg), also known by its French initials CUS, was founded in 1967. It becomes a metropolis on 1 January 2015.[1]
