Stockport Academy is a non-selective co-educational school within the English Academy programme, located in Cheadle Heath, Stockport, Greater Manchester. It caters for children aged 11–16 and has approximately 681 pupils on roll.

The Academy opened in September 2007 and replaced Avondale High School. In November 2008 it moved into a new building on the same site, constructed by Bowmer & Kirkland.[1]

It is run by United Learning,[2] formerly the United Church Schools Trust.[3]

It is operated on a non-denominational basis, but followed the Christian, specifically Church of England, ethos of its parent organisation.[4]
