Stockfresh is a royalty-free microstock image library agency based in Budapest, Hungary. It was started in 2010 by Peter Hamza and Andras Pfaff, the original founders of stock.xchng,[1] one of the largest and most popular stock photo communities[2] on the web (now operated by Getty Images[3]).
As of August 2013 Stockfresh had around 2.5 million[4] photos and vector illustrations online by thousands of contributing artists[5] from all over the world. Customers can buy images with prepaid credits or via monthly subscriptions. Prices generally range between $1 – $20 depending on size.[6]
Stockfresh pays roughly 50% commission to contributors after each download,[7] which is somewhat higher than industry standards.
Similar services include 123RF, Dreamstime, Fotolia, Shutterstock and iStockphoto.
