Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D. (born January 28, 1962) is the current President of Saint Anselm College, a Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts school located in Goffstown, New Hampshire, and he is the college's first lay president, succeeding former President Jonathan DeFelice, O.S.B.. He grew up in Queens, New York, the only son of Sal and Arline DiSalvo. He has one sister, Carolanne Ghee. He was raised and educated as a Catholic.[1] DiSalvo attended Fordham University, a Jesuit university, where he earned his B.S. in psychology, M.B.A. in marketing, and Ph.D. in educational leadership. His last appointment before joining Saint Anselm in July 2013, was as president of Marian University in Wisconsin,[2] during which time he was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU).[3]
Prior to Marian University, DiSalvo worked at secular non-profit organizations, including The Hopewell Group Inc., the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, and Junior Achievement of New York Inc.[2]
On March 25, 2015, Dr. DiSalvo was elected to the New England Council Board of Directors.[4]
