Steve Whiteman (born August 28, 1956) is an American-born rock singer, best known for being the lead singer of Kix.
Biography
Whiteman first started his career in a Led Zeppelin cover band and joined Kix in 1978 when they were known as "The Shooze". The group has released seven studio albums and one live album with Whiteman on vocals, however the band went on hiatus in 1996 due to growing tensions in the band and poor record sales of their album $how Bu$ine$$.
Whiteman then later went on to form Funny Money with Billy Andrews that same year and the group has put out four studio albums since its founding. In 2003, the members of Kix, sans Purnell, got back together with Mark Schenker (Originally from Centerfold) on bass, and has since put out the album Rock Your Face Off in 2014.
Whiteman is also known to give vocal lessons in the Baltimore area, one of his students being Lzzy Hale.[1]
