Stefanie Ann Sargent (June 1, 1968 – June 27, 1992) was an American musician best known for being the lead guitarist and co-founder of Seattle punk rock band 7 Year Bitch.[1][2]

Biography

Sargent was born to Paula and Kenneth Sargent in June 1, 1968 in Seattle. She grew up in Seattle and attended Roosevelt High, then transferred to the Summit K-12 Alternative School, and graduated from high school at age 16.[3]

Sargent co-founded 7 Year Bitch in 1990 alongside Selene Vigil, Valerie Agnew and Elizabeth Davis and played in the band's debut record, Sick 'Em (1992).

Sargent was found dead in her Capitol Hill apartment on June 27, 1992. She was 24 years old, and had passed out on her back after returning home from a party where she had drunk alcohol and taken a small amount of heroin. She died of asphyxiation when she failed to wake up after vomiting.
