Stefan Strzemieński
Stefan Marian Strzemieński was a general of the Polish Army, who participated in the Polish September Campaign. Born in 1885 in an unknown location, in the early 1920s he was commandant of a cavalry brigade, then of the garrison of Warsaw. Retired in 1932, he was recalled to the army in 1939, becoming commandant of the Operational Group Dubno. Caught by the Germans, he spent the war in a POW camp. Released in 1945, Strzemieński died in 1955 in unknown location.[1]
