Stay (Oingo Boingo album)
Stay is a compilation album of the band Oingo Boingo. The album was only released in Brazil.
Background
In Brazil the band had only limited reception until 1988, with the albums Dead Man's Party and Boi-ngo, being the first albums virtually unknown in the country. The double-album Boingo Alive brought the band to the top of the charts, with its tracks "Stay", "Just Another Day", "Dead Man's Party" and "Not My Slave" being major hits during 1989-1990. This led Polygram (the Brazilian MCA representative) to release this compilation, taking the title of the band's top hit "Stay", that was featured in the soap opera Top Model.
Despite the fact that the radio hits were the Boingo Alive versions, the LP presented all the songs on their original recordings. Only on CD, released later, some of them were exchanged for the new versions, with the exception of the title track.
