Star Air Aviation is a cargo airline based in Karachi, Pakistan. It operates to many cities in Pakistan including Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. It is also a large ground handling agent providing facilities to commercial, corporate and private airlines operating to and from Pakistan.
History
Star Air Aviation (SAA) was formed from several aviation veterans in July 2000 in Karachi. It became a member of the IATA Ground Handling Council,[1] which allowed the company to expand its facilities to cargo, chartered and private airlines that operated to and from Pakistan. The company also launched its own cargo airline which allowed the company to airlift cargo to several destinations abroad as well as locally.
Airline Academy
Star Air Aviation established Academy of Aviation Excellence (AAE) in 2011 to train airline staff. The AAE campuses are located in Karachi and Lahore. Currently AAE is providing the aviation industry with aircraft licensed Engineers (AMEL) courses i.e. EASA B1/B2, with many other commercial courses including ground and traffic handling, dangerous goods regulations, train the trainee, aviation legislation and human traffic.[2]
