- Saint Cyril the Philosopher, believed to have co-invented the Glagolitic alphabet (the first Slavic alphabet) and translated the Bible into Old Church Slavonic
- Saint Cyril of Alexandria (ca. 376 – 444), Patriarch of Alexandria
- Saint Cyril of Jerusalem (ca. 313 – 386), theologian and bishop
- Saint Cyril of Turaw (1130 – 1182), Belarusian bishop and Orthodox saint
