Splash (Scottish band)

Splash are a Renfrewshire, Scotland based show band.[1][2]

Biography

Splash were formed by Marc Andrew and Paul Mooney.[3] The band's line-up and membership has changed over the years centering on the founder members. The band's early career consisted of a mixture of cover songs and original material; the band notably performed on the ITV talent programme Pot Of Gold, hosted by Des O'Connor.[4]

The group expanded to include a brass section and began performing around the UK and Europe in the late 1990s as a tribute to the band Wet Wet Wet,[5] while continuing to write original material and performing other material. Splash have been noted for their light and stage shows [6][7]

In 2003 frontman Marc Andrew founded the Renfrewshire based music production studio Splash Productions.[8] Splash Showgroup in 2013 decided to release their award winning version of Bruno Mars's Treasure and got over 171,000 views in 2 weeks and are in the middle of creating a whole range of videos for their fans. [9]
