The Spanish Mastiff or Mastín Español, is a giant dog breedoriginally bred in Spain as a guard dog to defend their livestock from predators such as the grey wolf.

The Spanish Mastiff is a large and powerful dog, similar in appearance to most other large molosser breeds.

Males are 70 to 85 centimetres (28 to 33 in) tall at the withers, and range from 50 to 70 kilograms (110 to 150 lb). Females are 65 centimetres (26 in) minimum and weigh 40 to 60 kilograms (88 to 132 lb).[1]

It has small eyes and drop, triangular ears. The coat is usually fawn but can be brindle or blackd.
