Southern Apache Museum
Southern Apache Museum is a nonprofit museum in Houston, Texas located in Northwest Mall.[1] Southern Apache museum preserves Native American traditions, culture and history in Texas. Southern Apache museum was founded by Chance L. Landry, who is a Lipan Apache and published author/artist. On display in museum are many original native American paintings by Chance Landry.[2] Southern Apache Museum is open to the general public and free to enter, and it is run on donations and volunteers.SAM is opening a health clinic for all Native Americans http://www.gofundme.com/apachemuseum. Every 2nd Friday is Free Movie Night at the museum. Southern Apache Museum shows a free mainstream movie featuring Native Americans [3] with a raffle at the end of night.
Southern Apache Museum had its grand opening on March 10, 2012.[4][5][6]
