Southeastern Community College (Iowa)
Southeastern Community College is a community college with three campuses located in Burlington, Ft. Madison, and Keokuk, Iowa. Burlington serves as the main campus.
Southeastern Community College was formed in 1967 with the merging of two local colleges: Burlington Junior College, founded in 1920, and Keokuk Community College, founded in 1953. Southeastern is a member of Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In 2006, the college was accepted into the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP).[1]
The school mascot is the Blackhawk.
Athletics
The West Burlington campus offers men's basketball, men's baseball, men's softball and women's volleyball. Women's basketball is offered at the Keokuk campus.[2]
