South Elmhurst is an unincorporated community in York Township, DuPage County, Illinois, United States.[2] The community is just South of Elmhurst. Home to vast amounts of heavy industry, South Elmhurst is also largely residential. Although unincorporated, it has its own water tower and post office. In 2014, an unofficial population count listed 3,822 residents living in the town.
