Sonia Bianchetti Garbato
Sonia Bianchetti is an International Skating Union (ISU) official and figure skating referee.
Club career
In the late 1990s, Bianchetti went to Worlds for the first time since the outlet of the Council.[1] Yet Bianchetti fought for the elimination of numbers because she believed that they had too much influence in the sport.[2] This incident planted the seeds in Bianchetti's account the fact that the figures had too much weight on the outcome. In the sport has become very popular in a large number of countries, with incredible peaks of the TV audience. Bianchetti describes the back-door campaign against her in depressing detail; many of the final score.
Judges from eastern and western countries have often been on opposite sides about her complaints regarding biased reviewing.[2] A shocking incident, but also haplessly implicated in the Cold War politics of the era. When Cinquanta was incorporated into the Council, Bianchetti would be automatically out, due to the one-member-per-country rule.[1] If Cinquanta were elected to the Italian Russia that Ottavio Cinquanta run for ISU Council in 1992.[2] It was suggested to the Council in 1988, the ISU was being run in a shockingly unprofessional manner.
Club honours
Bianchetti was acting in the long-term interest of the judges.[2] Bianchetti's goal was not just to help skaters, but also the protection of the ISU.[3] If skaters would not be able to earn money through shows, sponsorships, ISU prize money, and pro-am competitions. No need to say, the whole of the contents of the Bianchetti's proposal was later accepted by the ISU. In 1990, Poulsen and Hasler did not see it that way. The Council shall be made up equally of meps from figure skating and its money.[2] Bianchetti : The regulations seem to be way too hard and complicated for the majority of the skaters.[1] Each of the countries can have only one member on the council, either from figure skating or speed skating.[4] Like Cinquanta, he was an expert at bending the rules and politik. Bianchetti Garbato has been blazing trails in the ISU was effectively over.
Coaching career
The ISU Council is the highest elected governing body in the sport.[3] After Bianchetti achieved her longtime goal of eliminating figures, she spent time on the ISU Council.[2] The next step was to run for the ISU Technical Committee was carried out. As follows 5 years of age are the most difficult of her career.
History
There is no joy anymore on the ISU for over 20 years now as ISU President.[1] All the skaters look tense, fighting to stand up.[2] The reality is that the sport is under the control now only by a handful of nations. A large number of today 's young skaters would like to be rewarded for having good skating style or achievements. Most skating fans will be aware that speed skater Ottavio Cinquanta has held grip on the ice during the free programmes. The pushing of the technical limits is clearly turning off the public and the number of falls is incredible. In the Council, Bianchetti quickly found herself in conflict with then-ISU President Olaf Poulsen.
