Solodev is an American software company based in Orlando, Florida, with a proprietary content management system of the same name, which can be used to build and manage native smart phone applications, social media applications and websites.[1]

History

Solodev was founded by Shawn Moore in November 2006 and is wholly owned by Just Program, LLC.[2] Over the years, Solodev has developed several versions of its Web content management software. The latest release is Solodev CMS 8.[3]

In 2011, the company developed Solodev Smart Phone API, a content management system that allows the development and management of native smart phone applications.[4]

In 2012, Solodev launched a mobile content management system and integrated it with its traditional CMS.[5]

In 2015, the company was named to the Inc. 5000 List as one of the fast growing private companies in the US.[6]

Software

The Solodev content management system is written in the PHP programming language,[7] and is designed to allow non-technical users to build and manage content on websites, mobile sites, native mobile applications, and social media applications, from a single platform. This can be deployed on a cloud computing service or on a physical server.[8] With the release of Solodev CMS 8, the platform was re-architected for maximum optimization in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud.[9]

Its features include content management of blogs, forms, and calendars, applicant tracking, CRM, database management, document management, e-commerce, multi-level permission management, issue tracking, online mapping, search engine optimization and workflow.[10] The applications built can be viewed from any modern web browser.

Clients

Solodev clients include Fortune 500 and SMB companies such as OneBlood, MobileHelp, CNL Financial Group, Springstone Hospitals, Dr. Philips Center and the State of Florida Department of Education. Solodev frequently works within industries like: Consumer Services, Education, Healthcare, Government and Financial Services.[11] The multi-site management capabilities in Solodev CMS can be deployed by healthcare companies to power their online presence.[12]
