Wilbur J. Cohen Federal Building (formerly the Social Security Administration Building) is an historic building at 330 Independence Avenue, Southwest, Washington, D.C.[2]

History

It was designed by Charles Klauder and Louis A. Simon, in the Stripped Classical style[3] in 1939. On April 28, 1988, it was renamed the "Wilbur J. Cohen Federal Building."[4] On July 06, 2007, the Social Security Administration Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Voice of America is the building's main tenant. It moved there in 1954.[5]
