SkyAir, formerly Sky Capital Airlines, is a cargo airline based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.[1] Its main base is Shahjalal International Airport. The airline received an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) issued by Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh in November 2009. Commercial operations commenced on 26 January 2010.
SkyAir Is currently operating with a Boeing 737-200F, and One AOG Lockheed Tristar L-1011F wide body Aircraft under direct ownership of Sky Group. The Airline is in the process of acquiring one ATR-72, ATR-42 Freighter for domestic cargo operation and one Boeing 767-200 Freighter for international operation.
Fleet
As of May 2014, SkyAir has a Boeing 737-200F in its fleet.[2] The airline previously operated two Lockheed L-1011F TriStar aircraft prior to scrapping one of them.[2] In March 2010, one of the L-1011F caught fire due to an engine failure.[3]
