The song later appeared on the Foo Fighters' first EP Five Songs and a Cover, which was released on November 20, 2005.

A live acoustic version of the song was then performed live at the titlular "Skin and Bones" show in August 2006 at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles. The song later appeared on the album (based on recordings of the concert), which was released on November 6, 2006, as Skin and Bones.

The recorded live track also appeared on the band's Greatest Hits, which was released in November 2009.

Both the musical composition and lyrics of the song were written solely by frontman Dave Grohl.
