Skelmanthorpe railway station is a station that was previously on the national rail network, and is now a station on the Minimum Gauge Kirklees Light Railway. Situated in Skelmanthorpe, West Yorkshire, Northern England.

History

The station was opened by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway as part of their 3.5 miles (5.6 km) branch line from Clayton West Junction on the Huddersfield and Sheffield Junction Railway (between Shepley and Denby Dale) to Clayton West.
