SIREN, at times stylized as Siren *SEIREN* (Siren *セイレーン*), is the sixth solo album by Susumu Hirasawa. It is the second album inspired by Thailand following Sim City. The title plays on the double meaning of "siren", alluding to both the alarm mechanism and the creatures from Greek mythology. It's the second part of a trilogy of Thailand-influenced albums partially recorded in Bangkok, following Sim City and followed by Technique of Relief.

Interactive Live Show

Interactive Live Show 1996 "SIREN - Unreal Soprano" (INTERACTIVE LIVE SHOW 1996 「SIREN - 架空のソプラノ」 INTERACTIVE LIVE SHOW 1996 「SIREN - Kakū no Sopurano」) was the fifth Interactive Live Show played by Hirasawa. The story is about self-loss and reclamation of identity.[1]

Syun's Kun Mae on a Calculation was played over the PA system before the show began. After an introduction with CG sequences and text narration, Hirasawa appeared sitting in a chair with his legs crossed wearing large futuristic black goggles, where he performed "ELECTRIC LIGHT BATH". For the duration of the show, Hirasawa performed in, besides his standard ways with guitar, Miburi and Tubular Hertz, inside a cage (a synthesizer was positioned close to the cage so Hirasawa could play some melodies on specific songs), a tribute to the 1986 Soviet film Kin-dza-dza![2] He does the same in the "Siren *SEIREN*" music video.[3] Throughout the show, the Cabaret SP-2 performers Miss N. and Miss Aeh sung in Thai, getting a highlight song with "ASOK", a Thai song that was incorporated into the show. P-Model members Kenji Konishi and Hajime Fukuma appeared on a pre-recorded video segment and programmed the show's music data, respectively. The show was reproduced on Hirasawa's then current website, with clickable hypertext links and samples of songs.
