Sion Koliwada (Vidhan Sabha constituency)

Sion Koliwada is also known as Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar[1] who was the ninth in line of the ten holy gurus in Sikhism.The nearest railway station is named Guru Teg Bahadur Station which falls under the Harbour line of Central Railways.

This region is populated by many Punjabis and Sikh migrants from Pakistan during the partition and has many Sikh Gurudwaras. Dasmesh Darbar[2] is the largest Gurudwara in this area. Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar is also known as mini-Punjab.

It has mainly 25 buildings made around 1947–1950 for residences of refugees

Sion Koliwada (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Marathi: सायन कोळीवाडा विधानसभा मतदारसंघ) is one of the ten constituencies of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha located in the Mumbai City district.

It is a part of the Mumbai South Central (Lok Sabha constituency) along with five other assembly constituencies, viz Dharavi, Wadala, Mahim, from Mumbai City district and Chembur and Anushakti Nagar from Mumbai Suburban district.
