Sinhgad College of Engineering is a technical education institute in the city of Vadgaon (Budruk), Pune, India. The institute is affiliated with the University of Pune and managed by the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES). The college takes its name from the nearby Maratha fort. It has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and recognized by the AICTE. The institute has also been awarded an A Grade by NAAC.[1]

Admissions
65% of students are admitted on the basis of marks scored on the Maharashtra Engineering Entrance and 15% of the students from outside Maharashtra state by management quota admitted through the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE).

Student organizations and clubs
Sinhgad College of Engineering hosts a wide range of student bodies to cultivate a sense of community among the students while at the same time providing them with opportunities and challenges. SCOE's many organizations and clubs help foster a spirit of leadership development and event planning among the students as well as act as a platform for interacting with alumni and industry professionals. The activities of these organization is managed by a specially elected student body under the guidance of an assigned staff coordinator.

Techtonic
Each year Techtonic is conducted by the College which is a national technical event. It is a coherent work undertaken by all departments jointly with an elected student body. The technical event generally is conducted in second semester of academic year. With participation of over 10,000 students from various institutes over the span of three days.
Techtonic is being conducted years together with active coordination of sponsors who fund the event.
Extra-curricular activities
Sinhgad College Of Engineering witnesses one major fest during an academic year, namely The Sinhgad Karandak, which is further divided into 4 fests namely Sports Karandak, Neon, Techtonic and Spectrum. Where Sports Karandak is a sports fest, Neon is a cultural fest, Techtonic is a technical fest and Spectrum is a management fest. Techtonic, Neon and spectrum runs for around 10 days in the first week on February. Prof. Manohar Kodmelwar who is responsible for Sports event at SCOE has conducted various national and State level sports Events.
