Sinapis is a genus of plants in the family Brassicaceae.[1] As of March 2015, five species are recognised by The Plant List:[2]

The leaves are used extensively in some cultures' cooking, including in North Indian cuisine. It is also one of the varieties of horta or greens known as vrouves in Greek cuisine, boiled and served with olive oil and lemon.
