Sikandra is a town and a nagar panchayat in Kanpur Dehat district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.Sikandra is also spelled as Sikandara.
It is the headquarters of the tehsil of the same name. Sikandra tehsil consists of Sandalpur and Rajpur Development Blocks.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Sikandra had a population of 10,884. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Sikandra has an average literacy rate of 58%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 64%, and female literacy is 51%. In Sikandra, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
