Siddharth Randeria is an Indian actor of Gujarati theatre and films.[2]

Life and career

Siddharth Randeria was born on 17 December 1955 in Mumbai, India to the famous Gujarati writer and stage actor Madhukar Randeria. He is the most celebrated theatre artist in Gujarati theatre with a record of over 10,000 live performances to his name. His son Ishaan Randeria is also associated with stage and cinema.[2]


Randeria is best known for his Gujarati comedy plays for which he has won multiple awards as a writer, director and actor. He is involved in theatre since 1970 and performed as lead actor in many plays. His Gujjubhai series started with Gujjubhai E Gaam Gajaavyu in 2002. Lage Raho Gujjubhai (2007) completed 750 shows in three years across the world, which is a record on Gujarati Stage. Other Gujjbhai plays; Gujjubhai E Gaam Gajavyu, Lo Gujjubhai Ghode Chadya, Gujjubhai ni Golmaal (2012) completed 500 shows across the world. His latest Gujjubhai Banya Dabangg has completed 400 shows in 15 months.[3] He debuted in Gujarati cinema in September 2015 with the super hit film Gujjubhai The Great.[4]

His sequel to the hit film Gujjubhai the Great directed by Ishaan Randeria is to release in 2017.

He has also appeared in some Bollywood films including Khal Nayak and Shortkut as well as in a number of TV serials such as Waqt Ki Raftar and Kudkudiya House No. 43.[2]
