Sidney Douglas Farrar (August 10, 1859 in Paris Hill, Maine – May 7, 1935 in New York, New York), was a Major League Baseball player who played infielder from 1883-1890. He would play for the Philadelphia Quakers and Philadelphia Athletics. He was the father of opera singer Geraldine Farrar. He lived in a farm house located in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The road today is named after him; Farrar Lane.
