Plot

A rich and wealthy couple, Shankarlal and Parvati (Sanjeev Kumar & Raakhee) are appalled at the problems of the world, especially in households, so they decide to try to make things right - one household at a time. They first go the household of alcoholic Rajesh (Rakesh Roshan); his domineering mom (Lalita Pawar); and uneducated wife, Veena (Deepti Naval). Their second task takes them to the household of Vishwanath Gupta(A. K. Hangal); his son, Madhu (Amol Palekar) who has taken to drinking; and his attractive, outgoing, and wealthy wife, Aruna (Sarika). The couple go to work on these families to turn them around and improve and better their relations with each other. The film is strewn with disgusting misogynistic contents, mainly in the form of dialogues. So, this movie is not recommended at all. However, the T.V. series is completely different with lots of simple comedy. In spite of the fact, that all husbands should be serving their wives and must die protecting them, the movie implies otherwise. However, India is changing due to international pressure and fear of becoming extinct due to misogyny, but the change is slow. There is a reason wives are called better halves. Thankfully, now in Asian and African countries, governments are trying hard to change the boys and men, by force, if necessary. After all, India has been enslaved several times due to misogyny. If India becomes enslaved again, 99% of the male population would be wiped out.
