[5] BollywoodMDB rated the film 3/5, writing that "With a great, unique and new story, Shree has huge potential to become attention-seeker among the audience. Though at a low level as compared to Hollywood Sci-Fi flicks, Shree makes a place for itself in the world of off-beat movies. In a nutshell, the film is definitely worth a watch."[6] Martin D' Souza from Glamsham rated the film 3/5, writing "Nevertheless, if only for the first half, this film is worth a watch." [7]
Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama rated the film 2/5, writing "On the whole, SHREE has a fascinating premise, but the erratic writing plays the spoilsport!" [8] Now Running rated the film 2/5, writing "Shree had tremendous potential to make for a great sci-fi thriller but fails to leave an impact."[9] Ankur Pathak from Rediff.com rated the film 1.5/5, writing "Shree, though ambitious, suffers because of an over-wrought plot that is too tedious to follow."[10] Karan Anshuman form Mumbai Mirror rated the film 1.5/5, writing that "Shree attempts a genre rare for Hindi cinema: science fiction and straightaway earns a few points in trying to be original. But with a nearly zero budget production cost and general lack of polish in every department, it finds itself in unenviable territory: a good idea, a poor script, and shoddy execution." [11]
