Shinobidō 2: Sange (忍道2 散華), known in North America and Europe as Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen, is a video game published by Spike in Japan in 2011 and Namco Bandai Games in North America and Europe in 2012. It was developed by Acquire, authors of the Tenchu and Way of the Samurai series. It is the sequel to the PSP game, Shinobido: Tales of the Ninja.
Plot
Set six months after the events of the previous game, Shinobido 2 sees the once peaceful region of Utakata in the grip of a vicious civil war. Players step into the shoes of Zen, betrayed by his companions and left fatally wounded. San, the love of his life was killed by his two childhood friends, Shu and Nagi.
Characters
Main characters:
- Zen "The Spider Lily" (火祭のゼン Himatsuri no Zen): A ninja who was betrayed by the Asuka ninja clan that raised him. Zen sets off on a quest for revenge.
- Kaede "The Crimson Claw": A kunoichi from Zen's village who is a mysterious mirror reflection of San, Zen's former love.
- Zaji "The Hawk" (黒鷹のザジ Kurotaka no Zaji): Leader of the Asuka Clan who is a disgrace to his clan and who aims to protect Ichijo's land
- San (爪紅のサン Tsumakurenai no San)
Other characters:
- Uzumushi (渦虫): Leader of the enemy clan Kenobi Ninj.
- Usuba (薄羽): Leader of the enemy clan Mosu Ninja.
- Nobuteru Ichijo (一条 信輝 Ichijō Nobuteru): Lord of Utakata, one of the returning characters.
- Kazama Torasaburō Hisahide (風天 寅三郎 久秀)
- Kihan (季判)
- Shū (柏樹のシュウ Hakuju no Shū)

- Goh "The Crow" (鴉のゴウ Karasu no Gō): One returning characters within the game. A Ninja of the Asuka Clan and protagonist of prequels, Shinobido: Way of the Ninja and Shinobido: Tales of the Ninja.

Development and release
A DLC pack, Mirror Spirits, was released on May 9, 2012.[1]
Reception
PlayStation LifeStyle's overall positive 7/10 review noted its cult appeal as it said, "Shinobido 2 not a game for mainstream-only gamers" as the reviewer had plenty of praise, calling it "a fun stealth game with tons of depth."[2]
