Valeri Sarychev (Russian: Валерий Константинович Сарычев, born 12 January 1960), also known as Shin Eui-son (Korean: 신의손), is a former Russian-Tajikistan-South Korean footballer who played as a goalkeeper. His Korean name means God's hand, because he has extremely good ability in goalkeeping in K League.

He became a naturalized Korean in 2000. In 2004, he played only League Cup 7 matches for FC Seoul and he didn't extend contract in 2005, but he had retirement ceremony on 1 May 2005. Now he is coaching goalkeepers for Busan IPark and the South Korea national under-20 football team.

Career

K League

He played for Seongnam FC and FC Seoul, then known as Ilhwa Chunma / Cheonan Ilhwa Chunma and Anyang LG Cheetahs

He recored 320 Matches, 357 Goals Conceded, 114 Clean Sheets for 12 seasons in K League.

International

In August 1997, Tajikistan were to take 16 players to South Korea to face South Korea, but due to missing passports only 12 players traveled. As a result, the Tajikistan Football Federation called upon Sarychev and Vitaliy Parakhnevych who were currently playing in the K League.[1]
