Sharyland North Junior High is a junior high school located in McAllen, Texas, United States. The school is one of two junior highs in the Sharyland Independent School District (the other being B.L. Gray Junior High).

The school primarily serves Sharyland, an unincorporated rural area known for its agricultural and citrus industry. The school also serves portions of the cities of Alton, McAllen, Mission, Edinburg, and Palmhurst.

Mission statement

The mission of the Sharyland Independent School District is to provide the highest quality education possible to all students. To the full extent of their individual abilities, students will be provided the opportunity to develop the ability to think logically, independently and creatively and to communicate effectively. The district will promote the worth and dignity of all students and encourage them to become productive and responsible members of society. In 2011, SNJH was awarded with the blue ribbon school award.

Bell Schedule

To instill good attendance in all students, Sharyland North follows a strict bell schedule throughout the day. Each regular day consists of nine 50-minute periods with 3-minute passing periods (with shortened periods on pep rally/incentive and early release days).

The bell schedule is as follows:

Entry Bell 7:45 a.m. -7:50 a.m.

Morning Announcements 7:50 a.m.-8:00 a.m.
1st Period 8:00 a.m.-8:50 a.m.
2nd Period 8:53 a.m.-9:43 a.m.
3rd Period 9:46 a.m.-10:36 a.m.
4th Period 10:39 a.m.-11:29 a.m.
5th Period 11:32 a.m.-12:22 p.m.
6th Period 12:25 p.m.-1:15 p.m.
7th Period 1:18 p.m.-2:08 p.m.
8th Period 2:11 p.m.-3:01 p.m.
9th Period 3:04 p.m.-3:54 p.m.

The 8th grade lunch occurs during 5th period and the 7th grade lunch during 6th period. unless the 8th grader is in "Honors Band" ,which takes place 5th period, the 8th grader will attend 6th period Lunch with the rest of the 7th graders.
