Shaligram Ramnarayanpur (Hunterganj) is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Chatra subdivision of Chatra district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Geography

Hunterganj (Shaligram Ramnarayanpur) is located at 24°26′03″N 84°48′54″E / 24.4341°N 84.8149°E / 24.4341; 84.8149.[1] It has an average elevation of 252 metres (830 feet).

There are 28 panchayats and 270 villages Hunterganj CD Block.[2]

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Shaligram Ramnarayanpur (Hunterganj) CD Block had a total population of 187,590, all of which were rural. There were 96,328 males and 91,262 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 69,944 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 628.[3]

Literacy

As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Shaligram Ramnarayanpur CD Block was 82,787 out of which 50,105 were males and 32,682 were females.[3]
