Shady Mohamed (Arabic: شادي محمد; born November 29, 1977) is an Egyptian footballer, who plays as Defender. Shady is known for his great speed, concentration and outstanding physical fitness.

Career

Ahly

However, his limited dribbling abilities and high defensive awareness assigned him to the team's defense. Throughout the years, several Ahly coaches and trainers have used Shady as a regular starter, making him one of the most participating players in Ahly history along with Essam el Hadary. However, during a match in the 2006 African champions league round of 16, Essam was blamed for two goals scored in his net. Thus, the captain's badge was taken from Hadary and given to Shady Mohamed.Mohamed played for El-Ahly at the 2005 FIFA Club World Championship, 2006 FIFA Club World Championship and 2008 FIFA Club World Cup,[1] where the club lost to Pachuca in the quarter-finals.[2] In 2009 Shady has been released and was given the green light to go for free, After spending a ten-years with the club and winning 22 competition.

On 30 Jun 2009 it was announced that he has joined Alexandria's side El-Ittihad for one-year Deal.[3] Shady and El-Ittihad failed to reach an agreement to renew his contract.[4] He scored only one league goal during his stay with El-Ittihad.[5]

Ismaily
